Master K. Chiba, Shihan, born in 1940 began his Aikido training at the age of 18 with Master Morehei Ueshiba. In 1966 the founder of Aikido dispatched Chiba Sensei to England from Japan. Chiba Sensei was one of the major teachers in spreading Aikido in Europe. After his tenure in Europe, Chiba Sensei returned to Japan to teach at the Hombu Dojo and served as the General Secretary of the International Aikido Federation.

Now Chiba Sensei is the Director of the West Coast United States Aikido Federation.
